Headless Commerce · Gifting & Floral
Headless for gifting, date-driven UX.
Scheduled delivery, multi-recipient orders, and last-minute substitutions break themed storefronts. We build composable fronts where the date logic and the gift experience are first-class — not bolted on.
The problem
Where gifting & floral brands get stuck
The patterns recur. Headless Commerce solves some by default; the rest is engineering.
Gift flows break templates
Multi-recipient carts, scheduled sends, gift messages, and add-ons fight a theme built for one buyer, one cart, one address.
The date is the product
A gifting cart lives or dies on the delivery-date promise. That deserves a fast, bespoke interface wired to real fulfillment capacity — not a generic date field.
Peak is the whole quarter
Valentine's and Mother's Day are most of the year's revenue in a few days. A monolith that is fine in March falls over when it matters.
How it fits
The Headless Commerce stack, tuned for gifting & floral
What we build
Headless Commerce for gifting & floral, engineered to fit
Bespoke gifting UX
Multi-recipient, scheduling, gift messaging, and personalization as first-class flows in a composable front — not plugin workarounds.
Date-aware checkout
Delivery-date selection wired to fulfillment-partner and 3PL capacity and carrier cutoffs, with substitution rules that save the order when an item runs short.
Independent peak scaling
The front end scales for the spike without touching the commerce engine, and launch windows are load-tested before the date — not during it.
The AI layer
AI that moves the numbers for gifting & floral
Not AI bolted on the side — agents and models wired into the gifting workflows that actually decide revenue, with human approval and an audit trail.
Substitution decisions
An agent selects the best in-stock substitute within your rules and notifies the recipient — keeping the order instead of refunding.
Peak demand forecast
Per-SKU, per-region occasion forecasting feeds inventory and fulfillment capacity ahead of the spike.
Gift discovery
AI gift-finding by occasion, recipient, and budget, surfaced in the composable front where senders decide.
Where we built
Questions
Gifting & Floral on Headless Commerce, answered
- Do we actually need to go fully headless for gifting?
- Not always. If your date logic, multi-recipient flows, and peak traffic are fighting your theme, headless pays off. If they fit a templated build, we will say so — headless is a means, not a goal.
- How do you handle delivery-date promises?
- The date picker is wired to real fulfillment capacity and carrier cutoffs, so the cart only promises dates the network can hit — and substitution rules kick in automatically when stock runs short.
- Will the storefront survive Valentine's and Mother's Day?
- That is the whole point of composable here: we scale the front end independently of the commerce engine and load-test the launch windows ahead of the date, not during it.
- Which front-end stack do you use?
- Usually Next.js or Hydrogen against your commerce APIs, with a headless CMS for occasion merchandising. We choose per your team's skills and hosting — not dogma.
